LeBoeuf honors the ‘Penman of the American Revolution’ with its Thomas Paine Common Sense Limited Edition Rollerball Pen. The man whose quill sparked the cause for America’s independence in 1776, Thomas Paine (1737–1809) is as well remembered for his famous quote, “These are the times that try men’s souls...” as for two phrases we use to this day, ‘common sense’ and ‘plain truth’. Paine authored his historic pamphlet, titled Common Sense, in January 1776, which rallied the colonies to the cause of independence and ignited the fire of freedom, leading to the signing of the Declaration of Independence six months later, on July 4, 1776. As the the editor of Pennsylvania Magazine, he crafted a series of letters that would be farmed out to various newspapers in the city; Paine’s genius with words flowed forth under the title of Plain Truth. Paine went on to write much more in support of the American Revolution. The LeBoeuf Thomas Paine Rollerball is crafted in a stunning Patriot Blue Magenta marbled acrylic which pays homage to Paine’s call for independence. The pen barrel features Thomas Paine’s signature engraved in gold, and a gold coin featuring a portrait of Paine fitted onto the top of each cap. Limited edition of just 125 pens worldwide.
